Wild Horses Featured Statewide The fame of the wild horses of the Outer Banks continues to grow. They are the focus of  the UNC Public Television program, “My Heart Will Always Be In Carolina.” 
Corolla Light Resort Community Best in the State 11 Times Running For the 11th year in a row, the North Carolina Chapter of Community Associations Institute (NCCAI) has selected Corolla Light Resort as the best in the state. The NCAAI is a statewide chapter of the national organization, with over 600 resort members in the state.

Visitors who come to the Currituck Outer Banks during the fall, winter, and spring months will enjoy seasonal savings at local hotels, stores, and restaurants. In addition, there are fewer visitors that time of year, making the beach a little quieter and more peaceful.

Mild year-round temperatures make the Currituck Outer Banks an enjoyable place to be even during the off-season. Some businesses do close down during the off-season but many are still open year round.  Once you experience the crisp days and cool nights by the ocean, you will see why more and more people are making the Currituck Outer Banks their fall, holiday, and spring destination.

Currituck County is home to a number of vineyards and a microbrewery. Take some time to experience the area’s local wines, vineyards, and freshly brewed beers. 

The Weeping Radish, North Carolina’s oldest microbrewery, features award-winning unfiltered beers and hosts weekly tours of the brewery.

Sanctuary Vineyards, located in the Cotton Gin, hosts free wine tastings on weekends. On Knotts Island visit Moonrise Vineyards and Martin Vineyards and Orchard, both offering white and red wines for tasting.
