Maple Skate Park
Innovation meets expert design at the Currituck County County Skatepark in Maple.  Designed by Grindline Skateparks, a world leader in skatepark design, the Maple facility is receiving rave reviews from both amateurs and pros alike.

Clean lines and deep bowls are the main themes driving this superior arena.  Genuine pool coping gives riders the edge they’ve been dreaming of.  Riders can frontside an 11 foot keyhole or just cruise around on glass smooth cement. The best part of the park is it’s free!  Remember, all riders are required to wear a helmet, elbow and knee pads while using the facility.

The Whalehead Club at Currituck Heritage Park
Built in the mid-1920's, the Whalehead Club continues to stand as one of the most spectacular landmarks on the Currituck Outer Banks.  Owners, Edward Collings and Marie Louise Knight traveled to Corolla from points north and used Corolla Island as their winter residence from 1925-34.  Boasting art nouveau architectural styling and accented with Tiffany lamps, cork-tiled floors, brass duck head and water lily hardware, this magnificent structure stood isolated for years on these remote barrier islands and has been fully restored.
